lyrics

Jenny sits by her window all day, waiting, waiting.
She hasn’t said a word since he left for work.

Wedding gifts draped round her neck
No rings would fit her hands
She likes to wear such beautiful clothes
But doesn’t care for brands.

She never goes outside
His pleasure, joy and pride will never cease
In her, he finds the peace
That old flames couldn’t kindle

Jenny sits by the window all day, aging, aging.
Whenever he gets home, then she lets him in…side.

Close the blinds so the neighbours don’t see
That which they can’t understand.
Such a shame she’ll never see
The ocean or the sand.

But as the years fly by,
Their bond will only grow more real
He’ll wrinkle and she’ll peel
But they’ll both be pretty happy.
